I just decided to make a small comparison of most popular DOT-approved motorcycle helmets, because nowadays many people got interested in them. At this rate the sales of headpieces of that kind have grown quite high recently. So, it is really essential to say some words about this helmets in order to make it clear, whether there is some difference between them.
At first let’s have a look at German style carbon half-face helmet by Outlaw. This thing has carbon design graphics all over helmet and high gloss finish. It is made of ABS and is one of a kind shell design. It is also equipped with impact absorbent liner, comfort padding and fully adjustable double ’D’ ring quick-release retention chin strap. So, to my mind this German style DOT helmet will be an excellent purchase.
Another item to talk about is just usual half-face helmet also by Outlaw. This one has adjustable nylon chin strap, lush interior padding and a screwed-in visor for s secure fit. It is also made of ABS and meets all DOT requirements, which (taking into consideration reasonable price) make this style DOT helmet quite attractive for bikers.
Finally there are some words to be said about Hawk two in one open face silver helmet. This is the most expensive one from the three in this test, but it is said to provide the best protection. The headpiece can boast of wide range of options, like silver gloss finish, anti scratch shield, removable shield and clear visor (all components and hardware included), impact absorbent liner, double D-ring durable chin strap with button closure, rear exhaust, adjustable vent, ABS thermoplastic resin shell and EPS foam.
